I was so excited to receive this parcel, and the cosplay product goes beyond my expectations! :)
Fantastic stuff as always. Can finally pair it with my Altair statue. Plastic quality feels like a step up from the older ones. One thing I think that gets overlooked is placement of the pull string allowing ambidextrous use. The new ring design is also a very neat touch. Top notch stuff and lool forward to seeing more.
SOLID 9.8/10 for Altair's hidden blade, I cannot, at all, overstate just how much I adore this - and I can't recommend it enough, either! Proper standout piece, lads!
The action is smooth, and these new springs really kick! There's a simple elegance in the design and what little detail is on the faceplate really helps to sell that... Hidden in plain sight vibe.
My only issue (and it's TINY, I promise!) is the length - I know it's probably to ensure that the blade can extend/retract without issue/limits of the mechanism, but one day I'd love to see a replica with a full size blade - maybe a 3.0 one day?
The Altaïr hidden blade by Rawice is the most spectacular, I have previously bought the Brotherhood hiddenblade and both are very high quality and worth the price.
The string that is used is made of plastic so I find it quite finicky to tighten properly but it isnt a huge problem, the altaïr blade however is far more unique compared to his other designs in my opinion and you should consider buying them for cosplay or other reasons.
